Parc Garnant Golf Club
Winner of "Best New Course of the year 2004" by the Welsh Golfing Union.
In its 10th year Garnant Park is an idyllic picture postcard setting, a Mountain backdrop, good clean air and a challenging course makes Parc Garnant Golf Course a place to visit and enjoy. Just twenty minutes from Junction 48 Garnant is an excellent venue for competitions, society days and tourist alike. Playable during the winter months.
Parc Garnant is a parkland course with a total yardage ranging from 5677 yards off the front tees to 6575 off the back. Par for the course is 71, designed to USPGA standards by the award winning Roger Jones Golf Architect of Ireland with a Licensed clubhouse, golf shop and restaurant.
Proudly called the “Garden of Wales”, Carmarthenshire is only a one-hour car journey from the seven bridge and has some of the best scenery in Wales. Whether you are visiting for the day or staying for a weekend, you will be sure of a warm welcome at Parc Garnant.
Hole 3 - Roman Deep Dolau Cothi (Par 5)

This hole requires thought with two options available. For the brave, a drive to the left of the fairway, a carry of 191m, leaves the golfer with a choice either to go for the green, or, lay up. The more conservative route to the right involves a carry of 145m, which puts the green out of reach on the second shot.
A stone lined ditch meanders along the front of the green protecting a narrow green, which at its widest is only 17m in depth.
Hole 6 - Gelli Ceidrim (Par 4)

An interesting, short par four, with the option to drive the green or lay up. The line of the tee shot must be on the large tree guarding the left-hand side of the fairway.
The green is surrounded by bunkers, whilst it’s rear and back left are protected by gorse for those too long.
The green slopes steeply from back to front.
Hole 17 – Gilfach (Par 3)

This mid to long iron tee shot must carry 122m in order to carry the pond, which runs across the front of the green, before continuing up the right hand side.
The green falls from back left towards the water, therefore, club selection is vitally important.
